Our OEM Client based in Whitley, Coventry, is searching for an MBOM Engineer Release Specialist to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position with a proposed end date of 4th February 2027. Umbrella Pay Rate: £29.64 per hour.

Your role will be critical in ensuring a successful transition and enabling the company to achieve new heights of efficiency and excellence.

The manufacturing release operations team are responsible for the creation, maintenance and release of the Manufacturing Bills of Material for each phase and gateway of the product through the vehicle lifecycle. MBOM Engineering Release Specialists are responsible for specific areas of the vehicle. They should have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of which parts/commodities are fitted to which specifications of vehicles. They have a direct impact on vehicle build quality and success at the Manufacturing plants.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Load, validate and release all Engineering Concerns (Change Orders/Change Actions) in DELMIA; coordinate all related documents and obtain the necessary approvals and manage the releases to completion against the project timing.
  • Attend regular cross functional meetings including engineering, programme and change management teams. Maintain progress reports to their line managers and with the customer.
  • Conduct any validation activities needed to ensure our releases are robust and accurate.
  • Manage the releases to completion and within the programme timing.
  • Track and document progress regularly and report out to internal management as well as in customer change control meetings.
  • Support team leader and Systems Manager in escalation meetings where required.
  • Support the Plants with Alerts related activities and internal deviation process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, IT, and operations, to understand their needs and concerns, and effectively communicate the benefits and impact of the 3DExperience.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to analyse existing processes, identify gaps in the MBOM.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in engineering release.
  • Well knowledge of Navigating Engineering structure.
  • Experience or knowledge of driving process improvement activities and managing change.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably in the automotive industry.

Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience Requested:

  • DELMIA Knowledge.
  • SAP S4 Hana Knowledge.
  • GSPAS, APT, WERS and VPS Knowledge.
  • Experience of using Agile methodology, JIRA / Confluence.

Essential Personal Profile Required:

  • Must be able to liaise with Engineering and Manufacturing Stakeholders on a technical level.
