Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Combustion & Aftertreatment Calibration Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position until 31st March 2026. Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour. The role is for the calibration of diesel and gasoline combustion and aftertreatment systems. This will involve conducting testing in both vehicle and testbed, supporting environmental test trips and working with third party suppliers to deliver robust calibrations. In addition, coaching and mentoring of junior engineers will be expected. The successful applicant will need to be able to make an impact from the start and will be expected to be fully familiar with the calibration tools, communication with the powertrain system, data analysis tools. They will be expected to have a detail fundamental knowledge of combustion and aftertreatment systems. Skills Required: Good working knowledge: INCA/MDA. Concerto. CRETA. Matlab/Simulink. Candidate Requirements: Emissions testing of ICE vehicles. Testbed development of combustion and aftertreatment system DPF calibration including soot and fuel in oil models OBD calibration for diesel and calibration. Full UK or European Driving Licence. This role requires travel to European countries and therefore all candidates must have the ability and possess the appropriate documentation to travel to Europe without restrictions.
