An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as an Accounts Payable Assistant at Futamura, Wigton. Futamura is a major global manufacturer of sustainable, plant-based cellulose films, including the renowned NatureFlex™ compostable films. Futamura processes responsibly sourced wood pulp into sustainable flexible packaging and labelling solutions used by brands worldwide.

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will ensure goods and invoices received are accounted for in a timely manner, with appropriate controls of checking price, quantity and approval.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Booking Goods received onto the system
  • Processing Supplier Invoices and Credits
  • Matching of Invoices with Purchase Orders, checking price and quantity
  • Ensure issues are followed up, elevate as necessary
  • Ensure timely payment to Suppliers
Reports to: Accounts Team Leader

What experience and skills will you need?

  • 2 years (essential) experience in accounting
  • GCSE (essential)
  • A Levels / AAT or equivalent (desirable)
  • Experience working within an accounting function
Required Personal Attributes:
  • Strong communication
  • Problem solving mindset and able to think critically
  • Able to work well in a team
  • Self-motivated and able to manage own tasks/workload
  • IT Literate and strong Excel skills
