About Fussy

We’re Fussy…about everything in our mission to banish single-use plastic from your bathroom. Having experienced exceptional growth over the past five years, we are now looking for a talented individual to join the team as Financial Planning and Analysis Lead. You’ll report to Mary, our CFO, and work in close partnership with our Financial Controller and our Data Lead to build out the planning and analytical engine that powers our decision making. This is a brand new role at Fussy, so it’s a great opportunity for someone who wants to shape the role within a fast‑growth environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join scale‑up through a significant period of growth.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Financial planning and budgeting – own our annual budgeting process and quarterly re‑forecasting cycle end‑to‑end: coordinate inputs from across the business and produce consolidated plans grounded in commercial reality.
  • Management reporting – work closely with our financial controller to understand actual performance and build a feedback loop that helps to improve our forecasts.
  • Commercial analysis – be our go‑to for deep‑dive commercial analysis, from channel profitability and customer economics to new market or product launch modelling.
  • KPI framework – own and develop our KPI framework, working cross‑functionally to ensure financial and operational metrics are well‑defined, consistently reported and genuinely used.
  • Long‑range planning – maintain our long‑range financial model, supporting fundraising processes, strategic planning and scenario analysis as the business evolves.
  • Business partnering – embed with our growth and retail teams, help them understand the financial impact of their decisions, manage budgets and identify opportunities to drive growth and efficiency.
  • Finance transformation – work closely with the Financial Controller and our Data Lead to connect FP&A to our core financial data, improving the speed, accuracy and automation of our planning and reporting processes.

Who You Are

Great comes in lots of different forms, and we’re really open to seeing candidates from a range of backgrounds. Given the nature of this role and what we’ll ask of you, we do believe that the following skills are needed to be able to deliver to a high standard:

  • Qualified Accountant with experience in a product‑led business would be an advantage.
  • Highly organised, with exceptional attention to detail, you are Fussy about your numbers.
  • Commercially sharp with the ability to connect the financial dots to the business drivers and communicate them in a way that lands with non‑finance stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and energised by a fast‑moving environment. You don’t wait to be told what to do.
  • Curious and collaborative, you build great relationships, take people on the journey and become a great sounding board to your stakeholders.
  • Experience in a business trading internationally would be advantageous.

What we offer

  • A chance to play a part in banishing single‑use plastic from the bathroom.
  • Hybrid working with Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in our London (Shoreditch) office.
  • 33 days annual leave including flexible bank holidays plus a day off for your birthday – we encourage you to take time off to switch off, rest and recharge.
  • Our WellHub membership with a range of fitness and wellbeing options – we care about our team’s wellness, from physical to mental health.
  • Share options after probation, so that you can benefit from our growth.
  • Gym membership.
