About Fussy
We’re Fussy…about everything in our mission to banish single-use plastic from your bathroom. After four years of exceptional growth, we’re looking for a Brand Lead to join our Brand team, reporting into the Director of Brand. Your job is to make Fussy famous – for all the right reasons. You’ll be responsible for delivering our brand strategy end to end: building awareness, shaping how the world perceives us and ensuring every touchpoint (from a shelf in Boots to an Instagram story) feels unmistakably Fussy. This is an exciting opportunity to join a purpose-driven scale-up through a significant period of growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and manage the annual brand plan, driving alignment across teams and delivering the plan.
- Strengthen and protect Fussy's tone of voice and brand identity, ensuring consistency and impact across every touchpoint, both DTC and retail.
- Champion customer and market insight to deepen understanding of our audience, category dynamics and competitive landscape.
- Lead all top‑of‑funnel, awareness‑driving brand activity.
- Oversee Fussy's owned and earned content strategy across social and PR.
- Lead brand partnerships and collaborations, identifying the right partners, shaping the creative concept and driving execution.
- Own retail marketing – partnering closely with the Retail team to deliver all in‑store marketing assets so that Fussy shows up brilliantly on shelf.
- Contribute to proposition and range development, bringing brand and customer perspectives to NPD decisions.
- Build and develop a high‑performing team spanning social, PR and retail marketing.
- Collaborate closely with the wider Brand team, ensuring brand and marketing are joined up.
Who You Are
Great comes in lots of different forms, and we’re really open to seeing candidates from a range of backgrounds. Given the nature of this role and what we’ll ask of you, we do believe that the following skills are needed to be able to deliver to a high standard:
- Proven experience in senior brand roles in high‑growth consumer brands.
- A track record of building brand love – you've run campaigns that moved the dial on awareness and consideration.
- Sharp strategic thinking, with the ability to translate insight into a clear brand story and actionable plan.
- Strong creative judgement – you know what great looks and sounds like, and you can brief and push agency and in‑house teams to get there.
- Experience across owned, earned and paid brand channels, with a solid understanding of how they work together from top to mid funnel.
- A genuine passion for culture, community, social media and what makes content shareable – you understand how brands earn attention, not just buy it.
- Confidence with data – you use insight and brand metrics to make decisions, not just gut feel.
- Experience managing agencies and managing and developing team members.
- You’re a natural and effective collaborator, experienced in working cross‑functionally with marketing, creative, retail and commercial teams.
What we offer
- A chance to play a part in banishing single‑use plastic from the bathroom.
- Hybrid working with Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in our London (Shoreditch) office.
- 33 days annual leave including flexible bank holidays + a day off for your birthday – we encourage you to take time off to switch off, rest and recharge.
- Our WellHub membership with a range of fitness & wellbeing options – we care about our team’s wellness, from physical to mental health.
- Share options after probation, so that you can benefit from our growth.
- Gym membership.
