Excellent opportunity available for a Project Engineering Manager to play a lead role in delivering a major capital project whilst shaping the future engineering strategy of a flagship operation.

This is a unique opportunity to join a company going through significant growth in a role combining major project delivery with maintenance and reliability engineering.

Working with the Project Director, you will deliver the engineering workstream of a £170m investment and establish the long-term engineering strategy of the company’s flagship facility.

An ideal applicant is an Engineering Manager with a background in warehousing, material handling, intralogistics, distribution or similar.

You will have:

  • Significant engineering project delivery experience.
  • Strong background in maintenance, reliability and engineering operations.
  • Experience developing PPM and reliability strategies.
  • Exposure to automated, material handling or logistics environments or similar environments.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engineering projects safely, on time and within budget.
  • Managing contractors, OEMs, design houses and key stakeholders.
  • Developing maintenance and reliability strategies to support long-term operational performance.
  • Implementing PPM and asset management systems.
  • Supporting the recruitment and development of the future engineering team.
  • Shaping the engineering standards, culture and capability of the site as it grows and develops over the coming decades.
