We’re on the lookout for a dynamic and driven Control Systems Designer to bring fresh energy and expertise to our talented electrical design team. If you have a passion for cutting-edge technology and at least five years of experience in control system design, this could be your next big opportunity.
In this role, you’ll take the lead in designing advanced control panels and systems that power our industry-leading machines, working with servo and inverter drives, sophisticated motion control, safety systems, and high-precision measurement technologies. It’s a chance to push the boundaries of automation and innovation in a company that’s shaping the future of tube bending technology.
The position is based at our manufacturing facility in Scarborough. This is a full-time salary-based role. We offer a 39-hour week 7.45am – 4:45pm Monday to Thursday, with an early finish at 1pm Friday.
Responsibilities
- Ensure conformance with customer specification.
- Ensure conformance with machinery directive legislation.
- Create parts lists (BOM’s).
- Create electrical schematics and manufacturing drawing packs.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient working methods.
- Provide commissioning and fault-finding guidance to service teams.
- Provide remote customer support.
Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum level 3 qualification in related discipline or HNC.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- 3 phase power circuits.
- 24Vdc control circuits.
- Machine safety systems.
- Servo motion & PLC programming experience would be an advantage.
Hours: 39 hours
Salary: Best rates of pay for the right individual.
Holidays: 32 days a year inclusive of public / bank holidays.
