We are recruiting the Head of Operational Finance (AP/AR/Billing/Transformation) for a private equity backed multisite client. Our client has been through a high growth phase which has been achieved mainly through an aggressive acquisition strategy. Post integration, operational efficiency needs to be improved, and the new Head of Operational Finance will be a driving force of this within the finance team.
Summary: You will be responsible for leading and developing end-to-end transactional finance operations across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Client Billing (team size c25). You will drive operational excellence, streamline processes, implement systems enhancements, and promote a culture of accountability and service. A mindset of accuracy, compliance, strong financial controls, and continuous improvement is required.
Key responsibilities:
- Team leadership: Manage and develop a team of c25 transactional finance colleagues. Develop a culture of collaboration, continuous learning and operational excellence. Ensure that all team members have the correct professional development plans in place.
- Accounts Payable: Oversee all activity. Improve controls and efficiencies. Develop strong supplier relationships.
- Accounts Receivable: Lead credit control activity to improve cash collection and debt management.
- Billing and Revenue Operations: Ensure that billing processes align with pricing structures and customer contracts. Collaborate with Sales, Operations and Legal to prevent revenue leakage.
- Process Improvement and Transformation: Drive continuous improvement. Lead automation, digitalisation and systems upgrades.

- Demonstrable experience in developing, mentoring and motivating large transactional finance teams.
