Atomic is delighted to partner with a specialist property finance lender seeking a highly organised and proactive Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper to join their North London office. They specialise in providing flexible funding solutions across bridging and development lending in residential and commercial markets.
Role Overview: The Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the accounts team. Working closely with the underwriting, sales, and operations teams, to upkeep with accounting related requests as well as maintain the financial records. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in an account's role within property and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
- Bookkeeping and journal entries.
- Daily payment runs and payment processing.
- Receivables allocation and monitoring.
- Supporting credit control functions and reporting.
- Drafting portfolio statements for funders.
- Drafting mortgage and repayment statements for borrowers.
- Monitoring accounts inbox for actioning/resolving queries.
- Assisting with internal and external audits.
- General financial administration, maintaining filing and records.
Key Requirements:
- 5 years' experience in an accounts/finance position, ideally within property finance (buy-to-let, bridging, residential, or commercial lending).
- Experienced in a fast paced financial services environment will be of value.
- Experience using accounting software (such as QuickBooks or Xero).
- Double-entry bookkeeping.
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach.
- Confident with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Accounting / Bookkeeping qualifications.
