We are recruiting a hands-on Finance Director for a media client with a £5 m turnover. This is a six-month fixed-term contract with an immediate start, reporting to the CEO and a key partner to the Senior Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the small finance team, manage day-to-day accounting activity.
- Financial and management reporting including monthly board packs.
- Own budgeting and forecasting, including WIP, and report on all variances.
- Deliver deep-dive financial analysis and commercial insight for decision-making.
- Provide input and support on pricing and other commercial activities.
- Assess and implement process and system improvements to enhance controls and efficiency.
Qualifications & Profile
- Qualified Finance Director with broad financial and commercial experience.
- Experienced in a hands-on SME environment reporting directly to a CEO.
- Background in media (or a related sector) and able to thrive in that context.
- Continuous improvement mindset covering systems, processes and people.
- Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Available immediately or on short notice.
