This role focuses specifically on LoanIQ—the servicing platform for loans and guarantees/SBLCs—to ensure accurate, complete and timely data flow into Finance and other downstream consumers. The role will be managed by Finance Technology; however, the candidate will sit within the LoanIQ team to have hands-on access to LoanIQ and support from the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Identify, extract, and govern the data required from LoanIQ for reliable consumption by downstream systems such as the sub-ledger/GL, data warehouse, and reporting platforms.
- Engage stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Data, Technology) to elicit and document detailed data and interface requirements from LoanIQ.
- Understand end-to-end accounting entries for Loans, Guarantees and SBLCs (issuance, amendments, cancellations, claims).
- Perform source-system analysis in LoanIQ to understand data structures, usage, and lineage; define robust source-to-target mappings for each downstream consumer.
- Develop and optimise SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
- Support accounting and regulatory requirements (e.g., EIR, IFRS 9 inputs).
- Specify and validate data extracts/feeds from LoanIQ (files, APIs, messages), including completeness checks, transformation logic, enrichment rules, and reconciliation approach.
- Design and document interface controls including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, exception handling, and operational procedures.
- Build and maintain datasets leveraging LoanIQ entities (deals, facilities, loans, events, cashflows).
- Champion best practices across analysis, documentation standards, data governance, and interface design.
- Contribute to historical backfill and migration activity, including profiling, cleansing, and cutover readiness.
- Identify future operating model changes that can be factored into earlier release cycles.
- Plan and execute SIT/UAT for interfaces and migrations; author test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria; capture evidence for governance and sign-off.
- Provide regular status updates, RAID management, and support handover/training to BAU team.
- Hands-on experience as a Business/Systems Analyst on LoanIQ including loan servicing, guarantees/SBLCs and interface design.
- Strong understanding of loans, guarantees, upfront/ongoing fees, and collateral accounting.
- Familiarity with syndicated lending and participation structures.
- Strong data analysis and SQL capability including complex mappings, reconciliations, DQ rule validation, and remediation.
- Experience within finance transformation programmes (IFRS, sub-ledger, alignment of reporting periods).
- Experience producing BRDs, functional specifications, mapping documentation, and test artefacts.
- Ability to work in Agile and Waterfall delivery environments including running workshops, backlog management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Understanding of loan products including corporate, syndicated and project lending, and downstream finance/reporting needs.
- Experience of collaborating across different groups, such as Technology, Operations, Finance, Product Control and external vendors.
- Experience of providing input into key artefacts such as BRDs/FRDs/TDOs, interface specifications, mapping documents, test packs, runbooks, requirements traceability and sign-off documentation.
