The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Quantity Surveyor (M&E) to join a well-established commercial team delivering a major healthcare development project.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the commercial management of MEP works, ensuring effective cost control, contract compliance and supply chain performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial delivery of MEP works on a major healthcare project.
- Carry out measurement and valuation of works, including variations and final accounts.
- Prepare and maintain Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), cost reports and forecasts.
- Manage project cash flow and maximise commercial performance.
- Procure, manage and agree subcontractor and supplier accounts.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and internal governance procedures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders.
- Support, coach and mentor junior members of the commercial team.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Strong commercial management experience within MEP/M&E subcontracting environments.
- Proven track record in cost control, reporting, subcontractor management and change management.
- Solid understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts, with NEC Option C experience desirable.
- Experience producing CVRs, cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete reports.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider commercial team.
- Experience working in live environments, particularly healthcare projects, would be advantageous.
About You
- HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the M&E or Building Services sector.
- Strong understanding of monthly commercial reporting and project controls.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work to challenging deadlines.
- Proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
- RICS chartership, or working towards chartership, is desirable.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Full right to work in the UK.
