Generator Test Engineer – Permanent Position Sheffield
Salary: £78,000 DOE
We’re currently looking for an experienced Generator Test Engineer to support long-term works on a major project in Sheffield.
The Role:
- Carry out generator testing including load bank testing
- Support commissioning and handover of generator systems
- Fault finding and troubleshooting during testing phases
- Attend and contribute to client / Tier 1 meetings
- Review and discuss technical specifications and system performance
- Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with project requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience working with generators (diesel / temporary power)
- Experience with load bank testing and commissioning
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings / schematics
- Confident communicating with clients and site teams
- Previous experience working alongside Tier 1 contractors (desirable)
