A Senior Structural Engineer is required to join an engineering consultancy on a permanent basis in Durham. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for producing structural designs and providing support from feasibility through to construction stage delivery across a variety of projects and sectors. Responsibilities include developing and producing appropriate, cost effective and sufficient structural designs that meet client and stakeholder requirements by collaborating within a multi-disciplined team, and providing construction stage support.
The successful candidate will hold a Civil or Structural Engineering degree (or equivalent), be a Chartered Engineer (or working towards chartership) with an appropriate institution, and have significant experience within an engineering design consultancy. You must also be confident in leading small to medium-sized projects, and producing designs in concrete, steel, masonry, and timber using UK Standards and Eurocodes. Proficiency with Tekla Structural Designer (TSD), AutoCAD, Revit, TEDDS, Excel, and NBS specification tools is essential. You must also have experience delivering RIBA-staged projects, writing structural condition surveys and reports to tight deadlines, and mentoring junior engineers. A full UK driving license is required.
