Job Title: Mechanical Fitter ( Voith Fitter)
Location: Barton Under Needwood , Staffordshire
Duration: Contract (6 months min)
Pay Rate: DOE
Hours :7am till 5pm Monday to Thursday and 7am till 1pm on a Friday
*please note hours will be reducing to 40 hours from 1st September to (Mon-Thurs 7am – 4pm and Fri 7am – 1pm)
Own transport recommended due to location
Our Client based in the Burton on Trent area are looking for Mechanical Fitters with Gearbox and transmission experience
The role of the Mechanical Fitter is to build transmission and sub-assembly to a high standard.
Ideal candidates would be experienced HGV fitters / Heavy Plant Fitters who specialise in transmission and gear boxes.
Responsibilities
Understanding of vehicle mechanical interfaces and repairs of vehicle components
* Able to install and repair
* Fault find and diagnostic investigation work
* Mechanical knowledge
* Repairing or replacing parts, old and new.
* Understand and follow drawings
* Work to company safety
Subject to a Drugs & Alcohol test
