COST MANAGER
Location – Mansfield (Hybrid – 2 days in the office)
Day rate – £348 via umbrella
Initial duration – 6 months
IR35: Inside
Required experience: construction / NEC project delivery / cost estimation / QS and analysing tender process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and develop initial cost estimates for construction projects, providing accurate forecasts from project inception.
- Analyse and evaluate tender submissions, assessing pricing structures and overall value for construction projects.
- Produce and maintain monthly cost forecasts, comparing contractor projections against project budgets and identifying variances.
- Assess and manage Compensation Events (CEs) within an NEC contract environment, ensuring accurate cost control and compliance.
- Review and evaluate Applications for Payment (AFP), providing recommendations for approval or challenge where appropriate.
- Identify, analyse and utilise quality cost data from completed projects to support benchmarking, forecasting and continuous improvement initiatives.
