An Ecologist is required to join a vibrant and charismatic team, with the company's Head Quarters based in the Midlands. This is a hybrid role combining fieldwork and site visits with office-based tasks, offering a varied and rewarding workload. The successful candidate will support a wide range of ecology-related activities across multiple rail contracts throughout the UK, with a particular focus on projects in the South of England and Wales. You will play a key role in leading, advising, and upskilling the business on mitigation strategies for protected species, including dormice, otters, great crested newts, and badgers.

REQUIREMENTS - Essential
- At least 5 years' experience in an ecologist role
- Full UK driving licence
- Named ecologist on a dormouse mitigation licence
- Experience working with dormouse, GCN, badger, and otter
REQUIREMENTS - Desired
- Experience on rail projects
- BS 42020 / CIEEM membership
- Ideally based within the south of England but other locations will be considered
