Job Title: Robot Welding Operative

Shift: Nights (Mon to Thu - 16:45 to 03:15)
We are currently recruiting for a Robot Welding Operative to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer based in Dungannon. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern manufacturing environment operating advanced robotic welding technology.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read, understand and accurately interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Load and unload components onto robotic welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Set up and operate robotic welding machinery in accordance with production requirements.
- Use measuring equipment accurately to verify component dimensions and weld quality.
- Carry out visual and dimensional inspections to ensure products meet required specifications.
- Complete routine daily and weekly maintenance checks on machinery and equipment.
- Maintain a safe, organised and clean work area at all times.
- Accurately update and utilise the company’s MRP system.
- Report quality issues, defects or non-conformances promptly.
- Contribute to root cause analysis activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Essential Criteria:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good IT skills, including confidence using Windows-based systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Experience within the hydraulics sector.
- Previous robotic welding or automated manufacturing experience.
- Experience working with quality standards and inspection processes.
- Knowledge of MRP systems.
