An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Document Controller to join a Tier 1 Contractor to be based full-time at their Solihull office.

Role
The Document Controller will be appointed to work alongside the Design Manager and the wider pre-construction team.
Responsibilities
- All Document Control relating to the design of the project (Drawings / RFIs / Tech Subs / Sample Schedules)
- Working closely with Design Manager and Project Lead
- Liaising with members of design team and subcontractors on design issues/queries
- Management of design information
- Monitoring a site (or other specified site) daily for all incoming documents and ensuring they are all uploaded correctly and documents match titles on 4P
- Ensuring all documents are printed to the day file and the team notified
- When the day file has been viewed all hard copies filed in the relevant files and made available to the office in accordance with agreed protocols ie: Quality assurance
- Managing and distributing all client/sub-contractor originated documents registered onto a site
- Generate document management reports and registers as required and agreed with the Design Manager / Project Lead
- Work alongside Design Manager regarding BREEAM to co-ordinate deliverables and assist in following up on progress
- Ensure RFIs are being monitored through a site process and actively assisting the Design Manager to prevent overdue responses as well confirming the validity of the RFIs
- Chasing members of the design team / sub-contractors for missing / overdue information
- Maintenance of office and IT consumables
- Liaising with Quantity Surveying team, supporting other functions such as general office admin, ordering stationary
- Working with the site team to provide basic administrative support
Requirements
- Relevant experience in a Document Controller role
- Experience of working within the construction industry is a must
- Experience of using A-Site / 4Projects OR similar systems
- Good communication skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office software
- Holder of UK driving licence
