Graduate Manufacturing Engineer
Cookstown, Co. Tyrone | Permanent, Full Time (39.75 hrs) | Competitive salary + bonus
Fusion People are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of one of our esteemed clients, a global manufacturer of specialist heavy equipment with a busy production site in Cookstown.
This is a great opportunity for an engineering graduate, or someone with an HNC/HND and hands-on experience, to build their career improving real manufacturing systems on large-scale machines.
What you’ll be doing
- Reviewing current manufacturing processes and driving continuous improvement
- Leading on containment, root-cause analysis and corrective actions when production issues arise
- Applying lean tools such as 5S, Poka-Yoke and structured problem solving to improve flow
- Implementing engineering changes on the shop floor and keeping accurate records
- Carrying out time studies to support production planning and labour management
- Supporting new product development, advising on tooling and fixtures and overseeing prototype builds
- Working with cross-functional teams to solve problems and hit deadlines
What we’re looking for
- An HNC, HND or degree in engineering
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing
- Confident with Microsoft Office
- Experience with 3D modelling software, ERP/MRP systems (such as Oracle), machine shop or fabrication would all be a bonus
- Organised, methodical and calm under pressure, with a sharp eye for detail
