We are seeking an experienced Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team delivering high-value building services projects across the North West and beyond. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute QS who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in major mechanical and electrical installations.

The Role

  • Take full commercial responsibility for M&E packages from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the commercial performance of mechanical and electrical projects
  • Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and subcontracts
  • Cost planning, forecasting, and reporting
  • Valuations, variations, and change management
  • Procurement of specialist M&E subcontract packages
  • Risk and value management
  • Producing monthly CVRs and financial reports
  • Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners

About You

We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge of building services and a solid commercial background.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor (Senior level preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical services installations
  • Experience working for an M&E contractor or specialist subcontractor
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Good understanding of contract forms (e.g., JCT, NEC)
  • Proficient in cost reporting and commercial management systems
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence
