A Geotechnical Design Engineer is required to join a design consultancy in the North-East. You will be responsible for designing, supervising, and managing site investigations projects such as looking at slope stability, landslip remediation, embedded and gravity retaining structures, and working platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Producing design ground models and characteristic soil and rock geotechnical parameters.
- Managing and mentoring other members of the team.
- Attending and supervising ground investigation sites when necessary.
- Conducting Serviceability and Ultimate Limit State geotechnical design calculations.
- Producing concept and detailed design.
- Achieving delivery targets to quality, cost, and time efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS
- Working towards or achieved chartered engineer status
- Previous geotechnical design experience including designing retaining walls, soil nail/rock anchors, foundations, and scheme design geotechnical drawings
- Knowledge of ground modelling
- Knowledge of Eurocode standards
- Proficient with ACAD
- A full UK driving license
- Previous experience in settlement and bearing capacity calculations, and ground investigation procurement and management
- Ideal candidates will have highways experience, but this is not necessary.
