We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead the planning, control, and execution of commissioning for electrical, control, and automation systems at Hinkley Point C. This is a site-based role in Somerset for a professional with nuclear or other highly regulated, safety-critical experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee FAT and SAT, installation, testing, and commissioning works
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise commissioning engineers and site teams
  • Develop, review, approve, and control commissioning strategies, test plans, and documentation
  • Control drawings, mark-ups, and configuration changes
  • Ensure correct deployment of SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, IEDs, BCUs, and networks
  • Manage isolations, LOTO, permits, and safety-critical processes
  • Lead fault investigation, non-conformance resolution, and root cause analysis
  • Promote and demonstrate a strong nuclear safety culture

Candidate Profile

  • Degree qualified or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation, or similar
  • Proven commissioning experience in nuclear or safety-critical regulated environments
  • Experience leading teams and site-based technical activities
  • Knowledge of ONR requirements, commissioning lifecycle, hold-point control, and nuclear safety principles
  • Strong fault-finding skills on complex electrical/control systems
  • Experience with industrial networks, SCADA, and configuration verification
  • BS7671 18th Edition and C&G 2391 (desirable)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to work site-based
