We are looking for a HR Assistant for a busy public sector HR team. You'll provide administrative support for recruitment and day-to-day HR services across the organisation.
Salary: Β£13.69 to Β£13.91
Hours: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9 am to 5 pm
Contract: Temporary, initially until the 5th of April 2027
Location: Atherstone, CV9 1DE
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the recruitment process: advertising vacancies, preparing job packs, liaising with applicants and managers, and arranging interviews
- Prepare and check contracts of employment and other confidential documents
- Administer DBS checks and maintain accurate electronic records
- Issue and monitor induction and probation paperwork
- Support training administration, including bookings and delegate packs
- Keep HR files up to date and compliant with data protection guidelines
- Help produce statistical returns and management reports
- Support HR projects such as appraisals and staff surveys
- Handle general HR queries and general office administration
About you
- Experience of administrative work and dealing with enquiries
- Confident with Word, Excel and Outlook
- Accurate data entry and keyboard skills
- Excellent communication and customer care skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues
- Organised, able to prioritise and happy working in a busy office
- Good standard of English and Maths
