We are currently recruiting for a number of Welders for positions based in Lostock, Bolton. Our client is one of the largest and most successful steel-work contractors in the UK, they have recently won a large amount of work so are looking to extend their workforce.
We are looking for welders with experience in heavy steel work, especially from Structural Steel backgrounds.
Essential experience:- Proficient in single and multi-run fillet welds, together with part and full penetration butt welds
- Working to recognised fabrication standards
- Plan Welding sequences using welding procedure data sheets
- MAG weld in all positions (MAG down hand) and can air arc gouge
- FCAW positional
- Welds 15mm-120mm mild steel/weathering steel
- Working to tight deadlines
Shifts:
- Day Shifts - Monday to Thursday - 6.45am-5pm and Friday - 6.45am-11.45am (Β£18.19 per hour)
- Night Shift - Monday to Wednesday 6pm-6.30am, Thursday 6pm-2am (Β£24.25 per hour)
Both 44 hours per week
Please note, candidates that request night shift will need to start on days for training.
Candidates must be prepared to go on site for a weld test. The weld test will include:
- 1x vertical 10fw with FCMAW
- 1x down hand butt weld with MAG
- 1x10fw with MAG
