We are currently recruiting for a number of Vehicle Installation Electricians for an ongoing contract based in Ballymena.
Location: Ballymena, Northern Ireland
Duration: 4-8 weeks (may be extended)
Pay Rate: Β£30.00 per hour (umbrella)
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Thursday
- 07:00 to 17:00
Staying away from home on occasions will be necessary to meet the requirements of the role.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the installation and test of chassis and body electrical control systems in accordance with customer specification, ensuring the necessary quality standards are maintained and adhered to.
- To ensure that work carried out is to the company agreed quality standard and ensure that all such quality sign offs, and procedures are complied with.
- Responsible for ensuring that the vehicle electrical control system is installed to the specification requirements as detailed by the relevant documentation.
- Responsible for the installation and modification of vehicle wiring harnesses and components as detailed in the contract build documentation.
- Responsible for the termination of various automotive and high voltage connections up to 800V AC or DC.
- Responsible for the test and commissioning of the vehicle electrical system as per Quality Assurance documentation.
- Responsible for the fault finding and repair of the vehicle electrical system using bespoke diagnostic software.
- Responsible for ensuring the installation is completed in accordance with the allocated process time.
- Must be prepared to work overtime when requested by management.
- Undertake any training or retraining associated with the post, or introduction of new working practices or engineering changes including the training of others.
- Ensure work is completed to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.
- You must maintain high standards of personal accountability.
- Completing basic administrative tasks, filling in company forms or documents, WMPs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience in vehicle electrical installation, testing and commissioning.
- Ability to interpret contract build documentation and relevant technical documentation.
- Knowledge of high voltage systems up to 800V AC or DC is desirable.
- Willingness to work overtime and travel away from home as required.
- Good fault-finding skills and experience with bespoke diagnostic software.
