Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering critical water infrastructure projects under both the Southern Water AMP8 frameworks. This position is ideal for a proactive and safety-conscious professional with a strong background in the water or utilities sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all site operations to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery.
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Maintain and manage site records including RAMS, permits to work, daily briefings, and reports.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, engineers, and the project team.
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and deliver toolbox talks.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience as a Site Manager in the water or utilities sector, ideally on AMP frameworks.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) - Essential
- Excellent working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
- Valid CSCS card - Preferred
- First Aid at Work - Desirable
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
