- Monday to Thursday: 07:00 to 16:00

We are currently recruiting for a number of Mechanical Fitters for contract work based in Barton-Under-Needwood working for a large engineering company. Own transport is recommended due to the location.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring your own health and safety and that of others and promoting a positive health and safety culture within the workplace.
- Ensure all health and safety obligations are met, and company policies are adhered to.
- Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents by the end of that shift to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
- Ensure activities and associated actions and measures taken do not endanger but assist with the upkeep and maintaining the company's ISO (9001, 14001 and 45001) standards and certification.
- Have a good understanding of vehicle mechanical interfaces and repairs of vehicle components.
- Be able to install / repair hydraulic systems.
- Previous engine knowledge would be advantageous.
- Overhaul raft components.
- Be able to understand schematic drawings.
- Undertake training as and when required.
- Work within a realistic timeframe.
- Mentor trainees / apprentices when applicable.
- Ensure that waste is disposed of in the correct manner.
- Adhere to written or verbal instructions.
