We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join a well-established fabrication company based in Taunton. This is a great opportunity to join a respected business working on a wide range of bespoke architectural, secondary and structural steel fabrication projects across the South West.
The role will involve:
- Fabricating and welding a variety of bespoke steelwork
- Working from fabrication drawings
- Producing items such as stairs, gantries, walkways, handrails, balconies and structural steelwork
- Working as part of a skilled workshop team
- Maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail
- Using modern workshop equipment and fabrication processes
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 3 years experience in fabrication/welding
- Experience working from fabrication drawings
- Background in structural steel, architectural metalwork or bespoke fabrication
- Good attention to detail
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work well within a team and on own initiative
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Willingness to learn new equipment and processes
- Experience with tube bending machines or robotic welding systems is a plus
