We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shunter Driver to join a busy and well-established operation in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a day shift position with the opportunity for a temp-to-perm role or ongoing long-term work.
The Role:
- You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers and vehicles across the site, supporting day-to-day transport and yard operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shunting trailers safely around the yard and site
- Coupling and uncoupling trailers
- Positioning vehicles for loading and unloading
- Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Working closely with warehouse and transport teams
- Ensuring all tasks are completed in line with health and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
- Previous shunting or yard experience preferred
- Good understanding of transport and site safety regulations
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Shift Details:
