Senior Surveyor (Rail)

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + Company Vehicle + weekend O/T at x 1.5 and double time
A Senior Surveyor is required to join an engineering company based in Merseyside on a permanent basis. You will be required to carry out topographical surveys on Network Rail infrastructure for permanent way, switches and crossings and drainage using a range of techniques such as laser scanning and Total Station. As part of the role, you will also carry out gauging surveys using laser sweep to produce accurate profiles of platforms. As the Senior Surveyor you will be involved in track and structural monitoring by installing various technologies and methods to track and assess the condition of structures and p-way over time.
The Senior Surveyor will have previous experience in undertaking multidiscipline surveys on Network Rail infrastructure and will be proficient at creating as-built models, laser data scanning, track surveys and gauging using a range of techniques and equipment such as GPS, Trimble Total Stations, Trimble Scanners, Trimble Gedo System and Laser sweep. The successful candidate will be flexible to work nights and weekends as there is a requirement to work 2 in 4 weekends (depending on workload). A valid PTS is essential for the role, along with a full UK driving license, as you will be visiting sites across the Northwest.
