Principal Structural Engineer
Location: North Yorkshire

The role:
Lead and develop structural design solutions for both superstructures and substructures across varied sectors and challenging sites.
Collaborate within a multi-discipline design team to deliver constructable, cost-effective, and client-focused outcomes.
Produce detailed calculations and design specifications using hand calculations and software tools such as AutoCAD, TEDDS, and Tekla Structural Designer.
Manage multiple project workflows, budgets, and timelines while supporting junior engineers.
Conduct site surveys, attend project meetings, respond to technical queries, and oversee construction phases.
Undertake structural condition assessments and provide remediation reports.
Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and relevant UK and European standards.Requirements:
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
Extensive post-qualification experience in an engineering consultancy.
Strong understanding of reinforced concrete, steel, timber, and masonry design.
Proficiency in relevant design software and Microsoft Office tools.
Proven ability to work independently on surveys, designs, and reporting.
Excellent communication skills and a full UK driving license.Benefits:
