Site Manager - SR163 Authorised (Civils / National Grid) Location: Site-Based (UK-Wide Travel) | Office Base: Gloucester / South Wales Employment Type: Permanent Package: £70,000 (NEG DOE) + Car/Allowance + Travel Expenses + Benefits About the Role We are seeking an experienced Site Manager holding SR163 Authorisation to oversee site operations for major civil engineering and power infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for day-to-day site management, health & safety compliance, and direct management of sub-contractors and site teams on National Grid and NGED infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day site operations ensuring safety, quality, and progress targets are met. Act as the designated SR163 ticket holder on site, ensuring strict compliance with National Grid / NGED safety protocols. Coordinate civils packages, groundworks, foundations, and cable route installations. Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS). Interface with client representatives, sub-contractors, and internal project managers. Requirements SR163 Authorisation (National Grid / NGED) - Essential. Strong background in Civil Engineering within the power/utilities sector. Proven track record on National Grid and/or NGED substation or overhead line projects. SMSTS, CSCS Black/Gold Card, First Aid. Full UK driving license and willingness to travel UK-wide (site-based).
