Location: Burton On Trent Salary: £17.28 per hour Hours: 44 hours per week (Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Friday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM) Are you a skilled Machinist with experience in milling, turning, and operating CNC-controlled machine tools? Join our dynamic team, where you'll contribute to precision machining projects and work with industry-leading equipment in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Machinist, you will: Operate and maintain a range of CNC and manual machine tools, including: Rottler (F98Y, F79A, F69A) Robbi Crank Grinder REX 2200 RM Siemens-Gleason Gear Tooth Grinder Perform precision tasks such as: Reboring and refacing diesel engine blocks. Line boring engine block main bearing and camshaft bearing diameters. Reboring and sleeving Voith Transmission casings. Requalifying diesel engine connecting rods. Conduct basic Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) of equipment. Utilize metrology equipment for high-precision measurements, including: Metric and imperial vernier calipers. Internal and external vernier micrometers. Digital calipers, dial test indicators, and height gauges. Go/No-Go snap and thread gauges. Slip gauges.What We’re Looking ForTo excel in this role, you should have: Proven experience in milling and turning operations, particularly with CNC-controlled machinery. Familiarity with machine tools such as the Rottler series and Robbi Crank Grinder. Strong understanding of metrology equipment and techniques for quality assurance.
