With a strong pipeline of major developments across London, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Lead - M&E to join the team and take ownership of Mechanical & Electrical delivery across large-scale, technically challenging schemes.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the M&E function from pre-construction through to project completion, ensuring programme, quality, commercial and client objectives are achieved whilst managing high-performing delivery teams.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will lead all M&E delivery activities across major projects, acting as the key interface between project delivery teams, consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading all Mechanical & Electrical project delivery activities across major schemes
- Managing M&E teams across pre-construction, design, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover phases
- Driving programme, quality, safety and commercial performance targets across M&E packages
- Coordinating with construction, engineering and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Managing M&E subcontractors, consultants and supply chain partners
- Leading project planning, sequencing and delivery strategies for all MEP works
- Overseeing technical delivery, commissioning and integrated systems handover processes
- Supporting risk management and mitigation strategies across M&E delivery phases
- Providing leadership and direction to M&E Managers, Package Managers and delivery teams
- Driving a culture focused on safety, collaboration, quality and operational excellence
Requirements
- Proven experience operating at Project Lead / Senior M&E Project Manager / MEP Lead / Project Director level within major projects
- Strong Mechanical & Electrical background delivering large-scale projects (£100m+) within commercial, data centre, healthcare, infrastructure, mixed-use or similar environments
- Experience managing full M&E lifecycle delivery from design through commissioning and handover
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, commissioning processes and project controls
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management capability
- Proven track record leading large delivery teams and complex M&E packages
- Degree or relevant qualifications within Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services or related discipline preferred
