About the Role
Be part of a major New Nuclear programme supporting the UK's Net Zero ambitions. We're looking for a Nuclear Supply Chain Manager to lead the development, qualification and assurance of a high-integrity supply chain that underpins safe, compliant and cost-effective delivery on nationally significant nuclear projects. This senior role is ideal for someone with strong supply chain expertise in regulated environments, combined with deep understanding of nuclear quality assurance, safety culture and supplier capability management.
What You'll Do as a Nuclear Supply Chain Manager
- Act as the organisation's subject matter expert for nuclear supply chain management
- Develop, implement and maintain a fully nuclear-compliant supply chain strategy
- Lead supplier and subcontractor qualification, audits and approvals in line with ISO 19443, ISO 9001 and nuclear QA standards
- Ensure robust application of nuclear quality requirements including grading, hold points, LTQRs and traceability
- Establish supply chain performance metrics covering quality, delivery, cost and compliance
- Implement assurance, surveillance and continuous improvement programmes
- Manage Counterfeit, Fraudulent and Suspect Items (CFSI) prevention and reporting
- Liaise directly with client and licensee procurement/QA teams to ensure alignment of standards and documentation
- Support Engineering, Quality and Commercial teams in verifying supplier documentation and manufacturing records
- Provide strategic sourcing support and supply chain capability mapping to project delivery teams
- Lead supply chain readiness reviews and manufacturing surveillance activities
- Maintain supply chain policies, procedures and governance to support the nuclear business
- Foster long-term supplier relationships to strengthen nuclear delivery capability
What You'll Bring as a Nuclear Supply Chain Manager
- Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Engineering or related discipline
- Professional accreditation such as CIPS/MCIPS (desirable)
- Proven supply chain management experience within nuclear, defence or similarly regulated sectors
- Strong understanding of nuclear QA systems, LTQRs and safety culture
- Experience in supplier qualification, auditing and compliance management
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in high-integrity project environments
- Excellent engagement and stakeholder management skills
- Commitment to continuous improvement, ethical sourcing and high standards of quality and safety
