Lead Utility Surveyor (Various Levels) Rail Client Salary: £30k – £35k (Negotiable based on experience) + Company Van from Day 1 Locations: Various sites across the North-West Full-Time, Permanent Role We are currently looking for multiple Utility Surveyors to join an established engineering company based in Merseyside. As a Utility Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting underground utility surveys on Network Rail infrastructure, utilising advanced equipment such as Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Radio Frequency Locator (RFL), GPS systems, and more. Responsibilities include surveying and mapping Network Rail infrastructure, data collection and analysis. We are looking for surveyors at various levels (such as Assistant, Lead, Senior, and Principal) to carry out these projects. A valid PTS is essential for the role, along with a full UK driving license, as you will be visiting sites across the Northwest. The successful candidate will be flexible to work nights and weekends as there is a requirement to work 2 in 4 weekends (depending on workload). More senior-level surveyors will have previous experience in undertaking surveys on Network Rail infrastructure and will be proficient at creating as-built models, laser data scanning, track surveys and gauging using a range of techniques and equipment such as GPS, Radio, Trimble Total Stations, Trimble Scanners, Trimble Gedo System or Laser sweep. We will consider those less experienced without rail experience. The Client is a specialist engineering company that offers a wide range of surveying, design, and consulting services within the railway industry across the Northwest of England.
