We are looking for a reliable, customer-focused Caretaker to manage a school site. You'll be the key link between the school and the site management team, covering all aspects of general site management, including planned and reactive building maintenance, porterage, security and reception duties. You will most likely be based at one of two sites, which will be confirmed on offer. You may also be asked to cover other schools across Knowsley, so a driving licence is essential. Location: Knowsley (schools across the borough) Pay: £13.02 per hour (PAYE) Contract: Temporary, initially until 31st December Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute daily break Early shift: 06:00-14:00 Late shift: 13:00-21:00 Occasional weekend work required You must be flexible to cover both shifts Responsibilities Carry out planned and reactive maintenance and repairs, including fire alarm and L8 testing Complete minor works such as painting and putting up notice boards Open and lock the building, and carry out regular site security tours Maintain the visitor book and manage external contractors in line with H&S guidelines, issuing access permits as required Carry out monthly meter readings and handle porterage requests Manage the building when Community Use groups are on site Respond promptly to school requests and reactive tasks during the school day Follow COSHH, H&S and company procedures, keeping equipment, documentation and records in good order Report any accidents, near misses, or health, safety and environmental issues Work safely and on your own initiative as directed by the Site Manager Attend training and complete out-of-hours overtime as required Requirements Enhanced DBS check Full driving licence Own safety boots or shoes (PPE is provided)If interested please apply with your cv or call Rocio (phone number removed) --- Fusion People are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of age, gender, religion, belief, race, sexuality or disability.
