Responsibilities
- Develop and review geotechnical designs, calculations and reports
- Oversee geological and geotechnical reports and scheme design drawings, along with geotechnical risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with local and international standards, including Eurocodes, British Standards and CIRIA reports
- Act as the technical lead in single and multidisciplinary teams on medium to largeāscale projects
- Manage budgets, schedules and deliverables
- Contribute to planning and feasibility stages
- Manage and mentor team members, developing their skills and delivering training and knowledgeāsharing initiatives
Requirements
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer status
- Substantial seniorālevel geotechnical design experience, including embedded retaining walls, gravity walls, soil nails, rock anchor systems and remedial solutions for landāslip remediation sites
- Experience in major infrastructure or resource projects within consultancies
- Advanced knowledge of soil mechanics, rock and soil engineering, ground improvement, retaining wall design and geotechnical software
- A full UK driving licence
- Innovative solutions for challenging ground conditions
- Familiarity with geotechnical codes and standards
