Overview: Senior Energy Consultant - Commercial Buildings, Shrewsbury - Hybrid. Salary to £55k. EPC Assessor - Level 5.

Working for a successful, sustainability-driven MEPH consultancy specialising in designing and managing technical engineering solutions for the built environment, serving a blue-chip portfolio. They prioritise a 'software first' approach, combining applied building physics and digitalisation with traditional MEP consultancy to optimise asset performance. This is a hybrid role (depending on location), requiring UK-wide travel and periodic attendance at the head office in Shrewsbury.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of Commercial Energy Performance Certificates using IES dynamic simulation modelling software.
  • Supporting the delivery of energy audits to BS EN 16247.
  • Work with the team to develop real building lifecycle and upgrade strategies contributing to improved energy performance.
  • The delivery of energy efficiency to clients to reduce operational costs and improve building asset ratings.
  • Strategic and tactical input to the development of new products and services.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of building services.
  • CIBSE accreditation as an Energy Performance Certificate Assessor (To Level 5) - MUST HAVE.
  • Highly articulate and numerate.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and drive within complex and agile team structures.
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports and presentations for a diverse range of audiences.
  • A self-start approach, with the capability of planning one's own workload (recognising deadlines) and communicating effectively.
