The Role
Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to support the delivery of complex MEP projects across London and the southern region. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, technical environment and enjoys taking ownership of engineering delivery from design through to installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering and technical compliance across assigned projects, ensuring alignment with specifications, standards, and client requirements
- Plan, coordinate, and manage project activities to support safe, efficient, and profitable delivery
- Review designs, drawings, and specifications, identifying risks and driving value engineering initiatives
- Support procurement activities including technical submittals, plant/equipment enquiries, bid analysis, and subcontract coordination
- Monitor programme, sequencing, quality, and installation progress to maintain project performance
- Collaborate with project managers, quantity surveyors, designers, and site teams to ensure smooth coordination
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, quality inspections, and zero-defects reporting
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
- Support commercial activities including variations, subcontract orders, and financial tracking
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering (BEng/BSc preferred)
- Strong technical competence in Electrical Engineering and design
- Experience delivering MEP projects within a contracting environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret complex technical information
- Excellent communication skills with confidence engaging stakeholders
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively
