We are seeking a skilled and detail-focused Paint Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment producing hydraulic cylinders. This is a great opportunity for someone with spray painting experience in an engineering setting who takes pride in delivering high-quality finishes.
You will be responsible for preparing and painting components to specification, working as part of a production team to ensure products meet strict quality standards from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpreting engineering drawings and production instructions accurately
- Preparing, priming, and spray painting hydraulic cylinders
- Operating electrostatic spray guns and a 2K colour change system
- Loading and unloading components from the production line
- Ensuring all work meets internal quality control standards
- Maintaining a high level of workmanship and attention to detail
- Following all health, safety, and company procedures
- Supporting the team with additional tasks when required
Essential Requirements
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good numeracy and literacy ability
- Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 2 years' spray painting experience
- Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused approach
Desirable Experience
- 5+ years' spray painting experience
- Background in precision engineering
- Experience using electrostatic spray guns and 2K paint systems
