An established affordable house builder and contractor are looking to recruit a Contracts Manager for new build housing developments across the East Midlands.

The Role:
Overseeing a number of affordable housing developments across Nottingham, Derby and surrounding areas.
Driving housing site developments all the way through to completion.
You will put resources in place for an effective site start and at every stage of the process you’ll drive quality, control costs and make sure everything happens on time.
The better you can inspire and direct your site management teams and sub-contractors, the more effective you’ll be. So it’s vital that you’re a professionally qualified contracts specialist who knows how to delegate, coach and motivate.
A best practice role model, you’ll have worked at a senior level and shown you care as much about customers as you do about technical excellence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Managing multiple house building sites
  2. Providing support to the Construction Director
  3. Apprentice Mentor
  4. Ensuring that company and statutory health & safety procedures are followed to ensure a safe working environment
  5. Maintaining focus on customers to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and recommendation
  6. Controlling a varied set of subcontractors to achieve programme targets in an efficient and timely manner
  7. Focusing on strict control of work in progress and preventing overspends and excess cost charges

The Company:
A leading Civil Engineering and Building company with a head office in Ireland and a regional office in the East Midlands.

The Person:
It is likely you will have previously worked as either a Contracts Manager, Construction Manager, Senior Project Manager or Build Manager in a similar house building environment.
It is essential to have an SMSTS and 1st Aid qualification, as well as a driving licence. You will have good IT skills and a proven track record successfully managing multiple house building projects.
