Role: Commissioning Manager

Location: Hinkley Point C

Salary: 75,000 – 85,000 + Car Allowance

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead the planning, control, and execution of commissioning for electrical, control, and automation systems at Hinkley Point C. This is a site-based role in Somerset for a professional with nuclear or other highly regulated, safety-critical experience.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee FAT and SAT, installation, testing, and commissioning works
  2. Lead, mentor, and supervise commissioning engineers and site teams
  3. Develop, review, approve, and control commissioning strategies, test plans, and documentation
  4. Control drawings, mark-ups, and configuration changes
  5. Ensure correct deployment of SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, IEDs, BCUs, and networks
  6. Manage isolations, LOTO, permits, and safety-critical processes
  7. Lead fault investigation, non-conformance resolution, and root cause analysis
  8. Promote and demonstrate a strong nuclear safety culture

Candidate Profile

  1. Degree qualified or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation, or similar
  2. Proven commissioning experience in nuclear or safety-critical regulated environments
  3. Experience leading teams and site-based technical activities
  4. Knowledge of ONR requirements, commissioning lifecycle, hold-point control, and nuclear safety principles
  5. Strong fault-finding skills on complex electrical/control systems
  6. Experience with industrial networks, SCADA, and configuration verification
  7. BSth Edition and C&G 2391 (desirable)
  8. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder skills
  9. Full UK driving licence and willingness to work site-based
