Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 (per annum)

Role and Responsibilities: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of projects involving steel structures. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Accurate and efficient cost estimating for steel-related projects.
- Conducting in-depth cost analysis and preparing detailed cost reports.
- Collaborating with the project team to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
- Procuring materials and subcontractors for steel works, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to project timelines.
- Managing contracts and variations, while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conducting regular site visits and assessments to monitor project progress and assess financial implications.
- Assisting in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts.
- Providing valuable expertise during tendering processes and contract negotiations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a focus on steel-related projects.
- Strong knowledge of steel materials, specifications, and industry standards.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Sound understanding of construction contracts and relevant legal regulations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling seamless collaboration with project teams, clients, and suppliers.
- Ideally, a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
