A Structures Examiner with full STE04 capability is required to join a national rail consultancy. The successful candidate will have experience working in the rail industry, along with strong knowledge of railway practice. You will undertake structural examinations of bridges to identify actual and potential defects across the rail network, supporting informed decision-making regarding quality and safety objectives.

The role will also involve collecting site data and carrying out Hidden Critical Element assessments. With previous experience as a Structures Examiner, you will have solid technical knowledge of bridge, rail, and road maintenance works, as well as the ability to undertake on-call duties when required. You will be able to demonstrate compliance with the STE04 competency for structures examinations and will be experienced in preparing detailed examination reports.

Ideally, candidates will be educated to degree or HNC level and possess strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. PTS certification is essential, and you must be fit and able to work on track. A van and fuel card will be provided, and a valid driving licence is required. The successful candidate will be located within Kent or Sussex or willing to relocate to those areas.
