Our Public Relations (PR) Account Executives (AEs) play an important role within the agency. This versatile position involves supporting our Account Managers in delivering PR and marketing campaigns for our clients. Day to day, you’ll handle outreach and communications with media, influencers, and clients, deliver daily media coverage, build strong relationships with key journalists, and manage reporting.

About Fusion

Fusion Media is a creative marketing and communications agency working globally for our clients. We specialise in active lifestyle and movement-focused brands, with nearly 20 years’ experience delivering PR and marketing for some of the world’s leading names in cycling, sports, outdoors, and mobility. We are a values-driven agency and are committed to making a positive impact through our work. We have recently transitioned to a remote-first team to support our global growth, better meet the needs of our clients, and improve work-life balance for our staff. Our team is based across London and the UK, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Lisbon.

Responsibilities

  • Client Relations: Build strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and help them reach their goals. Communicate regularly and respond quickly to questions.
  • Media Relations: Connect with key journalists and media in cycling, sports, and lifestyle. Work to get our clients featured in the right places.
  • Content Creation: Help the team write press releases, stories, and other PR materials. Use creative ideas to share our clients’ messages. Keep all account files and media organised.
  • Campaign Development: Support the team in planning and running PR campaigns. Share new ideas that fit client goals and current trends.
  • Events: Represent clients and Fusion Media at events, launches, and races. Help plan and run press events to promote our clients.
  • Reporting: Track how PR activities are going and share clear updates with clients. Review results and suggest ways to improve future campaigns.

This role requires confidence switching between clients, tools, and priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Remote Work & Team Culture

As a fully remote agency, we’re looking for candidates who are self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently. You should be proactive in communicating with colleagues, eager to participate in virtual team meetings, and confident in using digital tools for collaboration. We value accountability, initiative, and a growth mindset. If you’re passionate about making a difference and excited to be part of a supportive, values-driven team, we’d love to hear from you. Flexibility and adaptability are important, as the role may require adjusting to shifting priorities, quick turnarounds, and occasional travel at short notice.

Key Skills & Experience

  • 1–2 years’ experience in Public Relations, communications, or a related field (agency or in-house)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable using digital tools for remote work (e.g., Google Workspace, Zoom, project management platforms)
  • Able to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems resourcefully
  • Reliable and accountable, with a track record of meeting deadlines and following through on commitments
  • Passion for sport, cycling, snowsports, running, or active lifestyle brands
  • Ability to work collaboratively and thrive in a dynamic, remote team environment

This role is probably not for you if…

  • You lack 1–2 years’ hands-on PR or communications experience (agency or in-house)
  • You want to work in an office full-time or dislike remote work
  • You’re not comfortable handling admin tasks like reporting or timesheets
  • You’re unwilling or unable to travel for meetings, events, or media work (sometimes at short notice)
  • You prefer to work alone and don’t enjoy collaborating with a team
  • You’re passionate about sport but not genuinely interested in PR or communications
  • You struggle to manage your own workload or need close supervision to stay on track

We want this to be a great fit on both sides.

What you’ll get

  • Full-time, permanent role in a growing global agency
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday
  • Fully remote working, with the opportunity to work outside the UK for periods of time (in line with remote working policy)
  • Clear expectations, autonomy, and trust
  • A supportive, people-first team culture
  • Exposure to a wide range of clients and campaigns
  • Opportunity to develop your skills as the business grows

This role is remote, but the successful candidate must be UK-based and will be required to travel for media meetings, client meetings, and trade shows both within the UK and internationally.

TO APPLY

Please submit your CV, with a short cover letter explaining your experience and why this role is a good fit. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a short task as part of the next stage. UK residents only. Due to the volume of applications, we’ll only contact shortlisted candidates, but we genuinely appreciate every application.
