Graduate Structural Engineer
Are you an ambitious and highly motivated Graduate Structural Engineer, experienced or ready to start your career after university, looking for a secure role offering great opportunities to progress and train?
The Role
- work on a diverse and interesting range of projects throughout the southwest and across different sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, education and health.
- working with exceptional colleagues on the structural design of challenging projects that will improve your knowledge and understanding of structural engineering.
- Liaise and co-ordinate with our infrastructure, highways and drainage engineers and you will be involved in every aspect of scheme development, preliminary and detailed designs and project management.
- produce drawings using Auto CAD or Revit
- prepare structural design calculations on a project basis using the current Eurocodes, BS
- Standards and Approved Codes of Practice
- You will assist with coordinating the structural and civil engineering aspects of the design process
- liaise with other engineering disciplines within the practice
- Accompany senior engineers to site visits/meetings
- The Candidate
- relevant BEng/MEng in Engineering
- 12 months experience working in an engineering environment (preferable but not essential)
- Enthusiastic self-motivated team player
- good verbal and written communication skills
- strong work ethic
- ability to work under own initiative
- A working knowledge of Auto CAD and Revit
