FUSION HOUSING works across the Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield districts of West Yorkshire, providing help for our communities to find and maintain housing through legal advice, employment support, learning opportunities, supported accommodation and local food bank provision.

Hours: Full Time, 37 hours p/w Monday to Friday

Salary: Band 3A £24,920 per annum

Contract: Fixed Term – 6 months

Location: Halifax - there may be a requirement to work from our other offices or attend any HOMEs properties in Kirklees, Wakefield and Calderdale.

Fusion Housing are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic person to join our housing management team. Supporting clients to develop and understand their tenant responsibilities and how to maintain their home successfully. The role includes:

  • Responsibility for a portfolio of properties for people who have support needs.
  • Lead on property sign-ups and re-lets in your area.
  • Working alongside the repairs team and other support staff to ensure we meet client needs.
  • Carrying out inspections to ensure housing is safe and compliant.
  • Reporting repairs and monitoring progress through to completion.
  • Facilitate the payment of rent / service charges from clients.
  • Ensuring tenants keep their home and communal areas safe and clean.
  • Finding a joint resolution to issues such as anti-social behaviour or neighbourly disputes.
  • Engaging with the people you support; being open and honest about the challenges and putting a plan in place together about what to do next, ensuring positive outcomes.

The qualities we’re looking for:

  • Experience of working in a customer facing role within a housing or estate management setting.
  • An understanding of the importance of health, safety and compliance in supported housing.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and enjoy the challenge of an ever changing workload.
