Could you help build confidence, create opportunities and change lives? At Fusion Housing, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of the challenges they face. We're looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Employment Skills Coach who can help people build confidence, develop new skills and take positive steps towards a brighter future.

This is more than an employability role. You'll work alongside people facing a range of barriers, helping them develop confidence, resilience and independence. Through one-to-one coaching, group workshops and practical support, you'll empower individuals to achieve goals that matter to them, whether that's improving wellbeing, connecting with their community, accessing training, volunteering or moving closer to employment.

If you're passionate about helping people realise their potential and create lasting change in their lives, we'd love to hear from you.

The role includes:

  • Providing one-to-one coaching and support to help individuals identify goals and move towards greater independence.
  • Delivering engaging group workshops focused on employability, wellbeing, digital skills, financial resilience and life skills.
  • Supporting participants to build confidence, motivation and resilience.
  • Helping people overcome barriers that prevent them from progressing towards volunteering, education, training or employment.
  • Assisting with CV writing, job searching, interview preparation and applications where appropriate.
  • Encouraging people to engage in community opportunities and develop positive support networks.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and partner organisations to ensure participants receive the right support at the right time.
  • Signposting and referring individuals to specialist support services where required.
  • Monitoring participant progress, recording outcomes and celebrating success.
  • Promoting safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion throughout all aspects of service delivery.

About You: You are a great listener, an encourager and someone who genuinely enjoys helping people succeed. You'll be able to build positive relationships, inspire confidence and support individuals to take meaningful steps towards their goals. You'll have experience of providing one-to-one support and/or delivering group activities, alongside strong organisational skills and an understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries. Most importantly, you'll share our commitment to helping people overcome barriers and create positive change in their lives.

Experience of supporting people into employment, volunteering, training or education would be an advantage, as would knowledge of employability, financial inclusion or life skills development.
